Maria Bobrina was born in 1994 in Moscow in Russia. She started with piano lessons at age of 4. Very soon her talent was appreciated and after primary music school, from 2005, she continued her education at Moscow Central Music School at class of Prof. M. Marchenko. After two years, in 2007 she started to work with Prof. Y. Airapetyan. During her education she was a prize winner of several piano competitions and chamber music competitions in Russia. On international competitions her best result is 1st prize at XXI international competition «FLAME» in Paris in 2010. In 2012, she won the Grand Prix in Evangelia Tjiarri 17th International Piano Competition (larnaka, Cyprus). In 2013 she has become a winner of a famous Russian project for young musicians “The river of the talents”. She also performs in the project “Young interpreters of Russia” with St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra CLASSICA with conductor Alexander Kantorov. She graduated with honours from the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory, where from 2017 she has been studying as a post-graduate student and in 2019 graduated with honours. In 2019, Maria won the First Prize on “Hannover Beethoven” International Academy Competition. She performed with many symphony and chamber orchestras, including the Concert Symphony Orchestra at the Moscow State Conservatory under the baton of Anatoly Levin, Armenian State Youth Orchestra under the baton of Sergey Smbatyan, Vratsa Philarmonic Orchestra and Shumen Philarmonic Orchestra under the baton of Ivan Iliev.
