Till Hoffmann was born in Freiburg/Breisgau in 1996.
He is the first prize winner of numerous renowned competitions such as the piano competition “Ton und Erklärung” 2019 and the TONALi Competition 2016. Since 2017 he has made debuts at festivals such as the Heidelberger Frühling, the Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival and the Oberstdorfer Musiksommer. He has also played with important orchestras such as the Mariinsky Orchestra of Saint Petersburg, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, the Deutsche Radio-Philharmonie Saarbrücken/ Kaiserslautern, the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra Leipzig and the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra.In the 2018/19 season he will appear at the Staatstheater Karlsruhe, the Konzertdirektion Hörtnagel Munich, the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and the Ruhr Piano Festival.

Till Hoffmann received his first piano lessons at the age of 6. From 2005 he was taught by Nella and Andrej Jussow at the Stuttgart Music School.

The first competition successes came early, for example a 1st prize with the highest score in “Jugend Musiziert” 2014 and the 1st prize in the Köthener Bach Competition for Young Pianists 2013.In 2018 he was awarded the 4th prize at the International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition in Leipzig, where he was the youngest finalist to play Bach’s Piano Concerto in D minor.From 2014 he studied piano at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe in the class of Prof. Kaya Han, in the winter semester 2018/19 he moved to the class of Prof. Bernd Goetzke at the HMTM Hannover.

Till Hoffmann is a scholarship holder of the „Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes“.
