The American pianist Hilda Huang debuted at the Leipzig Gewandhaus and the Montreal Bach Festival as part of the Steinway Prizewinners’ Concert Network after winning the Leipzig International Bach Competition. A “mind that can multi-task… and ears that can “multi-listen’” (SF Examiner) direct her playing, which plumbs “philosophical depths” (West-Allgemeine Zeitung). She participated in the 2019 Kempff Beethoven Masterclasses and contributed the sonata Op. 31/1 to Carnegie Hall’s Beethoven Sonata Cycle as part of the Kristian Bezuidenhout Beethoven Masterclass. Hilda Huang studies piano with Melvin Chen and harpsichord and fortepiano with Arthur Haas at the Yale School of Music.
