Born in 1998, Chang Gyu Lee attended Seoul Arts High School and graduated from the Korean National University of Arts with a Bachelor’s degree, studying under Professor Minsoo Sohn. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree with Bernd Goetzke at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover. Lee won first prize at the Beethoven Competition in South Korea and recently advanced to the semifinal round of the 64th Busoni Competition. He has given numerous recitals both in his hometown and internationally, including performances at the 32nd Young Musicians Festival of Korea and the Concert Hall of Tokyo University of the Arts. He also participated in the Beethoven Piano Sonata Complete Works Series, ˹Sturm und Drang˼, at the Korean National University of Arts. As an active soloist, Lee has performed with the Euro-Asian Philharmonie Orchestra and the Seoul Arts High School Youth Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Nanse Gum, as well as the Tongyeong Festival Orchestra conducted by Daejin Kirn.
