The International Beethoven Piano Competition Vienna is Austria’s oldest international piano competition and ranks among the most renowned music competitions today. Founded more than 60 years ago, it is hosted by the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. The Artistic Director is Jan Jiracek von Arnim.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

Due to the very high number of inquiries and applications we have received in the last few days, we are pleased to announce that we have decided to extend the application deadline for the 17th International Beethoven Piano Competition Vienna in order to give everyone a little more time.

Applications will now be accepted until November 1, 2024.

No applications will be accepted after this date.

Apply now to win €30,000 and a Bösendorfer concert grand model 214VC, as well as other prizes and numerous scholarships.
The three finalists will perform with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra at the Vienna Musikverein on May 24, 2025. There will be live streaming and TV/radio coverage.
