“Must it be? It must be.”
― Ludwig van Beethoven

The organizers of The International Beethoven Piano Competition Vienna and the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts are deeply sorry to announce that the competition’s 16th edition must be postponed due to the current developments in the CoVid19 crisis.

We are working on finding a new date, and we are looking forward to welcoming the chosen 34 candidates to the competition at this later date.

Thanks to the ongoing support by all of you we will then certainly be able to celebrate a wonderful 16th International Beethoven Piano Competition!

For now best wishes from Vienna: Stay healthy and “Auf Wiedersehen”.
