Where can I get tickets?
Tickets for the Grand Finale on May 24, 2025 at the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikvereins can be bought directly from the Vienna Musikverein (Kartenbüro, Musikvereinsplatz 1, Bösendorferstraße 12, 1010 Wien), or online at: https://tickets.musikverein.at/SelectSeats?ret=2&e=38627&bts=hp
The two rounds before our final round are free of charge for everyone, with limited seating (250 seats) availability at the Haydn-Hall of mdw!
Please note: seats can not be reserved for you in Joseph Haydn-Saal for logistical reasons, but there will be a monitor and speakers streaming live outside the hall. Between every performance there will be a short break. We will try our best to accommodate all of you!

I have been chosen for the Live Rounds in Vienna. Until when can I change my repertoire?
Changes to your repertoire are permitted until March 31, 2025. Please observe the repertoire requirements for the live rounds as stated in our rules.
What about repeats in my chosen repertoire - shall I play them?
Repeats in the performed repertoire are optional. Whether you do the repeats or not, will not affect the voting of the jury.
Will my travel and hotel expenses in Vienna be paid?
You will have to pay for your own travelling expenses and accommodation.
Does The Beethoven Vienna provide practice rooms for the candidates?
The mdw – University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna will provide several practice rooms for the chosen 21 candidates during the live competition rounds. Additionally, the mdw will provide rooms with adequate pianos before your performance to warm up and get ready for your performance.
I changed my mind after applying, or: I was not selected to perform in the next round. Will I get my application fee back?
The registration fee is non-refundable.
