Online Video Round
of the 17th International Beethoven Piano Competition Vienna
By invitation only, recordings need to be sent in by February 15, 2025
Those applicants chosen to be accepted to the Online Video Round will be informed on December 1, 2024.
The videos for the Video Round must be recorded between December 1, 2024 – February 15, 2025 and received by the competition office by February 15, 2025. Specific Guidelines regarding the camera and microphone settings will be communicated in due time. The competition office will offer help with the recordings for the Video Round.
Repertoire recorded for the audition videos may be included also in other rounds. For all information regarding the repertoire and the repertoire groups, please refer to our repertoire requirements.
The repertoire for the Online Video Round will be as follows:
- One work chosen from Group 2 or 3
- One work chosen from Group 4
The jury for the Online Video Round will include members of the international jury who will also be judging the three live rounds in Vienna in May 2025.
The jury of the Online Video Round will publish the names of the selected candidates for the live rounds in Vienna on March 25, 2025.
No more than up to twenty-one (21) candidates will be chosen to perform in Vienna at the live rounds.
The videos of the selected candidates of the Online Video Round will be published on www.beethoven-comp.at and those of the successful candidates will stay online until after the competition is concluded.
The nomination and publication of the twenty-one (21) names of chosen candidates on March 25, 2025 concludes the Selection Process of the International Beethoven Piano Competition Vienna 2025.
