Zvjezdan Vojvodić, (2003, Croatia), completed his primary and secondary music education at the Vatroslav Lisinski Secondary School in Zagreb, Croatia in the class of professor and excellent advisor Ivanka Kordić. Since the autumn of 2021, he has been studying at the Royal College of Music in London, UK under the direction of Ian Jones and Dinara Klinton, where he is a William Mealings Scholar supported by the Cosmina and Douglas Liversidge Scholarship.
He won over 80 first and special awards at national and international competitions. At the Croatian national competition for music and dance students, he continuously won four first prizes in the piano category on a two-year competitions schedule, and twice in the piano duo.
At the age of 14, as a laureate of the 50th prestigious international piano competition „Virtuosi per musica di pianoforte“ in the Czech Republic, he got the opportunity to perform Chopin’s Piano Concerto in F minor, Op. 21, as a soloist with the North Bohemian Orchestra at the opening concert of the competition in the following year. His love for Bach led to the performance of Bach’s concerto in D minor with the Karlovac Chamber Orchestra.
During the pandemic, since the fall of 2020, he has participated in online competitions in various European countries where he won over 20 first prizes and has been declared a laureate six times. We highlight the Grand Prix he won in the professional category at a competition in Ukraine, in competition with over 100 competitors from 26 countries. At the World Open Online Music Competition in the annual program in 4 stages, among competitors of different instruments, Zvjezdan won the gold award and was invited to participate in the Cap Ferret music festival in France, 2022.
At the renowned XII Darmstadt International Chopin Piano Competition, Autumn 2022, as the youngest competitor he reached the final stage and was the prize winner. His performance at the Awards Ceremony led to an engagement by the Chopin Society Taunus for its “Intermusikale” which took place in November, 2023. At the beginning of 2023, Zvjezdan was a soloist in Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with RCM orchestra in London. At The Watford International Piano Competition 2023. Zvjezdan got 1st prize. He also participated as one of 18 selected candidates of the XVIIIth International Animato competition in Paris in 2nd edition Frédéric Chopin 2023. He had two performances as part of very known St. Mary’s Perivale festival (London) in season 2023/2024.
